UPDATE: Our Festival Fish is in demand!
Visit our recycling fish at Mission Youth on 20th July at Saltmill; and Pengrillie in August at Pentillie Castle. If you're a community group that is interested in having the Festival Fish at your summer event, let us know! (Thanks to FEAST, Arts Council England, Cornwall Council and local environmental action group SEA). The Saltash Regatta committee are asking visitors to the two-day event to think about single-use plastic, and to recycle more. This year a fish sculpture by local Artist Jill Hudson will be used to promote that message: "Keeping plastic out of our seas and rivers is something very close to my heart and it's been brilliant to take part in this project. "We are asking visitors to fill up the fish with their single-use plastic over the weekend so that it can be recycled. We can all do our bit to reduce, reuse and recycle." she says. The fish will be sited near the local environmental group SEA who will be working to engage with families encouraging them to take that conversation home with them.
